Consultations are meant to meet specific needs and are usually of shorter duration than psychotherapy.

Parents may decide to consult on a specific problem related to their young infant or toddler. An individual may consult on a work-related issue. Another psychotherapist may consult on one or several cases. An organization may consult about a specific issue that has emerged (see group consultation). In each situation, a frame, time and location for the work is negotiated during the initial meeting.

My experience in consulting includes both individual and group case consultation, both individual and group parent-infant work, and group process.
